Spain is one of the countries that more foreign tourists receive, with a high concentration of these visits during the summer period. And with the roaming between countries in Europe still to fall, see if it is true that given end in 2017, any tourist knows that using the line of their country of origin can pose ruin.
Looking at this sector Orange has announced a new rival to Vodafone in Spain, the tourist-oriented rivals prepaid card. In the case of the French your choice is called Holidays, a rate that offers a bonus calls, valid to call multiple countries, in addition to a bonus of data.
Orange Holidays is nothing more than a rate with 60 minutes and 1.5 GB for 15 euros for a fortnight, that not a month. That is the first surprise, because accustomed to monthly fees is rare to this only last half month, although it may make sense if stays of tourists do not usually reach the month.
But on the positive side of this rate we find that these 60 minutes are both valid to call Spanish numbers to landlines and mobiles in many other countries. This is the complete list of countries that can be called with 60 minutes included in the rate:
Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guiana Fr, Holland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Martinique, Mexico, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Rep. Czech, Rep. Dominican, Reunion, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela.
Slight differences with Vodafone in Spain
If data including the speed is reduced to 16 kbps until a new cycle billing, while the excess of calls is paid 30 cents of establishment more 8.47 cents per minute on calls to Spain and from a penny per minute to other international destinations.
Additionally, the rate is automatically renewed every 15 days, although you can also request a new bonus until within 15 days. If sufficient balance is not available, calls are paid at the same price that they would be paid if the included minutes and data would be paid at a rate of 10 meg per day for 50 cents.
The rate is quite similar to the Vodafone in Spain, with 60 minutes on calls (also to international destinations) and 1 GB for 15 euros, with the proviso that Orange offers half giga more at the same price, but in favor of Vodafone can add that your rate is valid for a whole month.
But any tourist that we can read also might think of other options. These rates can be useful if they are to use to call your home country, course, if it is included, but if it doesn’t you can study other options of prepaid, as which they collected in this article.
